Named after the Inuit goddess of the sea and protector of sea mammals, Sedna, who is also known as the Mother of the Sea. This wrap includes chocolate moonstone, abalone, and pearl beads separated by hammered Ethiopian mixed metal beads. At the focal point sits a polished abalone teardrop briolette. Finished with a gold-plated toggle and hand-wrapped abalone charm. The chocolate moonstone is a subtle grey-brown, evoking the mystery of moonlit nights. Complemented by the sea elements of abalone shell and dark button pearls.
About Moonstone
Moonstone embodies the divine feminine energy of the moon, connecting us to life’s ebb and flow and helping us cultivate compassion and tap into our intuition, self-discovery, and insight. It provides passive & relaxing yin energy, supports introspection & receptivity, balances emotions, and connects us to our subconscious. According to ayurveda, moonstone calms the pitta dosha. It is also connected to the third eye, solar plexus, and crown chakras. Special affinity for Cancers, Libras, and Scorpios.
About Abalone
Abalone is a shell, made of nacre (same as pearls) by sea organisms secreting layer upon layers of the stuff over time. This beautiful “bio-crystal” has been used by humans for millennia – as jewelry, in rituals, and as currency. Abalone encapsulates the healing energy of the ocean, bringing a sense of peace and one-ness with nature, and transmuting negative energy into positive to uplift the mood and bring new perspective to situations. Wearing it can encourage healing (for yourself and your relationships), compassion, and improved communication.
About Pearl
Connected to the energy of the moon, pearls are an ancient talisman of purity, innocence, and integrity. They have been used for fertility and health, and help the wearer create a clear and receptive presence for ethereal insights. In tune with the crown chakra, the bridge to the cosmos, pearls can help spiritual transformation and connection to a higher power or your own divinity. Ayurveda also teaches that pearls are grounding for those with a pitta constitution. Special affinity for Cancer.

Mikken Designs always uses natural, unaltered gemstones, unless otherwise indicated.
Over time, the metal components may tarnish or fade. To keep them shining, please store your piece in a jewelry pouch or soft cloth, and avoid direct contact with water (shower, bath, hot tub, sweating) as well as beauty products such as perfume.
To clean, mix a few drops of gentle dish soap and water, and soak for about a minute. Use a soft cloth to gently rub it clean. Ensure you rinse & dry thoroughly.
To clean the mixed metal spacer beads, cover the beads in ketchup (yes!), let sit for a minute, then rinse thoroughly and wipe clean with a soft toothbrush or cloth. You can also clean with mild soap and water, but this may require more patience & a bit more scrubbing. Dry thoroughly.
