About Lapis Lazuli
Lapis lazuli (or simply lapis) has been used ceremonially and adorned the world’s upper echelons for millennia. It is a powerful protective stone, promoting mental clarity and enhancing self-awareness, self-expression and honest communication. This respect and compassion in ourselves in turn supports the bonding of loved ones, and cements friendships. Lapis also supports personal revelation, the uncovering of deep inner truths, spiritual exploration, and opening into a higher awareness and higher vibrations. The power of lapis can also manifest as insight into our dreams, or the realization integration of suppressed emotions. This stone is associated with the throat chakra, the chakra of communication (with ourselves and with others) which is located at the base of the throat. When this chakra is out of balance, you may find yourself feeling fear or doubt, lying, or struggling to communicate. Lapis has also been associated with Nuit (Egyptian goddess of the heavens and sky), and Venus (Roman goddess of love). Special affinity for Sagittarius, Leos, and Libras.

Mikken Designs always uses natural, unaltered gemstones, unless otherwise indicated.
Over time, the metal components may tarnish or fade. To keep them shining, please store your piece in a jewelry pouch or soft cloth, and avoid direct contact with water (shower, bath, hot tub, sweating) as well as beauty products such as perfume.
To clean, mix a few drops of gentle dish soap and water, and soak for about a minute. Use a soft cloth to gently rub it clean. Ensure you rinse & dry thoroughly.
To clean the mixed metal spacer beads, cover the beads in ketchup (yes!), let sit for a minute, then rinse thoroughly and wipe clean with a soft toothbrush or cloth. You can also clean with mild soap and water, but this may require more patience & a bit more scrubbing. Dry thoroughly.
