Named for the rich black hue of its stones and tassel, the Raven mala is designed to guide your journey inward, improving your abilities of self-perception and supporting the discovery of truth during your spiritual reflections. Gorgeous polished 11mm agate rounds, hand selected for a gradient from deepest black to a just-barely translucent brown, and finished with a silk black tassel resembling a raven's feather. Hand-knotted on pitch black thread for beautiful drape. Measuring 24 1/2" including the 9cm silk tassel, and 20 1/4" on the inside (excluding guru bead and tassel).
About Ravens
The ebony-winged raven represents mystique, ancient wisdom, intelligence, and transformation. Tfor also figure heavily in many mythological traditions, famously the Norse god Odin's raven companions, and the Morrigan, the Celtic goddess of battle and fate. Ravens invite us to explore our own mystical depths, gatekeeping the arcane link between the mortal and divine, the labyrinthine mysteries of the subconscious. Yes, ravens evoke death, but also the larger concept of rebirth and the circular connected nature of existence. They help unveil hidden truths and clear our perception, guiding and supporting spiritual journeys.
About Agate
Agate is the stone of perception and inner strength. It is a variety of chalcedony and comes in a huge array of colors, often striped or banded and typically with a milky translucence. It is known for helping you to slow down and get centered in order to balance the mind, body, and spirit. This balance can be felt in the mind, via enhanced concentration, perception and analytical capabilities. It may also be felt in the emotional body, calming anger or anxiety and strengthening relationships. Agate brings a sense of calm security, and can also manifest as improved bodily function (digestive, lymphatic, improved sleep, etc.). Associated with the third eye (6th) and crown (7th) chakras, this stone has a special affinity for Virgo and Gemini.

Mikken Designs always uses natural, unaltered gemstones, unless otherwise indicated.
Over time, the metal components may tarnish or fade. To keep them shining, please store your piece in a jewelry pouch or soft cloth, and avoid direct contact with water (shower, bath, hot tub, sweating) as well as beauty products such as perfume.
To clean, mix a few drops of gentle dish soap and water, and soak for about a minute. Use a soft cloth to gently rub it clean. Ensure you rinse & dry thoroughly.
To clean the mixed metal spacer beads, cover the beads in ketchup (yes!), let sit for a minute, then rinse thoroughly and wipe clean with a soft toothbrush or cloth. You can also clean with mild soap and water, but this may require more patience & a bit more scrubbing. Dry thoroughly.
